Thank you all for your prayers and for all the concern that you have shown for my well being and for the opportunity I have to serve the Lord.
This week has been a little rough but we have been getting through it. We had our investigator get interviewed for Baptism. He is so awesome. The only downside is that we had to postpone his baptism until the next week because of the elections in Ecuador. When there are elections here it is almost required to go. If you don´t go you are penalized and have to pay a fine and sometimes can lose privileges such as going to college for a year. We will have it next week!
We have another investigator named Jimy that is incredible. He understands the lessons so well. He is always so happy to talk with us. He is going to really try to get baptized on the 24 of this month. He always gives us a hug before we leave thanking us for our visit. He is so awesome. He always tells us how he feels a burning in his heart when he reads the book of Mormon.
We are doing lots of visits with the members here. We are taking them to go preach the gospel. It is awesome to the these members share there testimonies and feel the power that comes as they share it. Even at times they cry when they do it. It is a great help for the investigator as well as for them. Both are edified. Both feel the Spirit confirm that Jesus Christ is our Savior and that God is our Eternal father and he loves us.
As a Zone we are trying to get better. I believe God is teaching me a lot as I am trying to work without another District Leader. I feel that I am learning so much as I am doing both jobs. God has been so kind to let me suffer a bit so that I might learn.
One of my favorite quotes from Preach My Gospel that I was reminded of this week was that the best help we can give these people is the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ. If it is something else or not with this end then it won´t benefit them as fully. I love this work. I love this people. I desire to be a guide on their long journey back to our Heavenly Father. We have the pleasure of helping them enter in the gate where they might continue on to our Father in Heaven.
I know that God lives and that he was provided a way for us to come back to him. I know his Son suffered the pains and sins of the world in Gethsemane pleading on our behalf so that we might never suffer to the extremity that He did. I know that lovingly He wants all his children to partake of this salvation and for that reason has restored or established His true church once again upon the earth and His power and authority that we might have access to those desired blessings. I know and recognize that Joseph Smith was called to that great work to allow that the Children of men might experience and receive all that the Father has planned for his children. I know that he has given us a book were we might find direction and peace and gain a true conviction of these truths that I proclaim. That we might all receive and experience a true change in our hearts. I know all this to be true.
