This week has been a little less productive because of the holidays in Ecuador. We just finished a 4 day vacation and the people here like to travel to the beach. There were very few here in the city but it was a great week. The holidway was the Dia de los Difuntos, after the founding of the City of Cuenca then Saturday and Sunday. They all go to a place called Salinas on the coast.
We visited one of our investigators named Belén. She said she wants to get baptized!! She has told us how she feels when she reads the Book of Mormon and when she comes to church and she wants to continue!!! It was so awesome!!
We also found several Venezuelan people. We were in the street contacting and we found a man named Rafael Gonzalez. He told us how he has been working with several Mormons and has but doesn't know anything about us. He agreed to meet with us and when we did he was willing to listen to us and at they end he was really committed to read the Book of Mormon. He said he wants to know if our church is the true church. We also were teaching a young guy named Marcos. He is from Venezuela. He is reading the Book of Mormon a little. We are going to visit him later this week.
We have plans to participate en a festival at the end of this month where we will set up a stand for Family History. We hope to find through this as well. We are also planning to do an activity where we build a frame for people to hold when we take pictures that says We are an Eternal Family or We are a Happy Family. We will see if we can contact by this means as well.
Today I cut the Assistants hair, my hair, the office staff´s hair, and my companions!!! I learned because I didn't want to pay for a haircut.
