Hey everyone. This week has been well.

Thank you to everyone that wished me a happy birthday! It was a great day here! Several people sang me happy birthday - the primary, the Zone Leaders, President Alarcón, and the members of my zone. It was a great birthday because there were several members that cooked me a special meal. One of them was lasagna and rice. It sounds weird but it so good. I also got cake and bread at different homes. It can´t complain.

This Monday we started the week off with visiting a member that has a reference for us. This family was listening to the missionaries before and they were about to get baptized but because of work they moved to Quito and were unavailable. Soon they will be coming back and we can teach them again. Monday we also found a man named Carlos Wong. He has had lots of contact with the spirit. We will see how he progresses

Tuesday we taught Paul. Later we visited Marcos and Jose. They are immigrants from Venezuela and accepted a visit with us. We will see how it goes. We later taught Belen. She is a 19 year old girl who at first didn't seem too interested. When we visited her again she was a lot more interested. She had told us that she had read the introduction that we had invited her to do. She said as she read she began to feel a lot more interested in the Book of Mormon. When we came she had memorized the introduction and recited it to us even with the correct dates!! I was so surprised and grateful for the workings of the Lord in her.

Wednesday we had the district meeting and we had talked about our numbers as a zone and what we need to do to get better. It looks like it may work. Then we talked about the examples of humility in the Book of Mormon. Then I later talked about how it is our duty to bless the lives of those in our area. We need to do more service. Now we have 3 service projects that will happen very soon.

Thursday. we had 6 lessons. The best one was with Belen. She is reading the Book of Mormon and she said she would accompany us on Sunday to church. She is very excited to learn more. She feels a similarity with Joseph Smith.

Friday I was taken to the hospital to get my 9th ingrown toenail removed. They removed part of the root of the nail to stop it from growing back. I am supposed to be resting but I don't know if I can. I hope these surgeries are going to make them better. I work regardless. Later I was with my companion an hour and a half later giving English classes. There were about 14-15 people that came. It went well.

Saturday we found a 16 year old that wants to get baptized and serve a mission. He can get baptized really soon. We also taught Belen again with members. She got to know girls her age and I think it went really well.

Sunday we had 3 investigators come to church. We are trying to break the average of 1 each week. What was interesting was that one of our investigators that hasn't been progressing a lot became interested in Family History Work. He wants to come with us Tuesday to the Family History Center to put information in his family tree.

I love and miss you all so much!!!
