Where do I begin? This week was unlike any other week I've had in me mission because I went to the airport everyday to pick somebody up or drop them off.
Monday: we did a hike for Elder Osorio's last P-day. It went great, that night we had a great FHE with our wonderful family we teach. They are awesome-more about them later.
Tuesday: we had a great normal productive day with some good lessons. We were preparing for zone conference.
Wednesday: we picked up all the missionaries from Guyane for zone conference doubling our missionary force with the strength of 2 zones. We played basketball with a bunch of people it was awesome. But the dudes there were playing some hardcore rap music over the speaker. I asked them if I could change it, they said yes so I put on Surfin' USA by the Beach Boys. They all laughed and never changed it back. It was super fun.
Thursday: was zone conference which was great. We picked up Elder Alonso from the Quorum of the Seventy. It was a really good zone conference. He talked about answering people's questions with questions. It was pretty funny.
Friday: we had to take all the Guyane missionaries to the airport.
Saturday: we had to take Elder Carlson to the airport. It was extremely sad to see him go. We gave him a blessing before he left and all 4 of us were crying after. The spirit was so strong. I have such a testimony of missionary work! I wish him the best! Right now I'm in a trio with Elder Osorio and Brimhall.
Then fast forward to Sunday morning right before church: President called us to tell us all the missionaries are flying down from St Martin because of IRMA the hurricane. Everyone's getting kinda worked up but we have made the proper preparations and are ready for the storm. Hopefully we aren't in the path.
In other news, I'm going back to Lamentin to train a new Elder from Alberta! I'm really excited to teach him. I'm not sure when he'll fly in because of the storm. His name is Elder Johnson. I'm excited to teach Phillip, Gladys and their family with him. We had a lesson with them last night where we had a MINI testimony meeting that was absolutely full of the spirit. Phillip, the father, cried when he bore his testimony. It was amazing.
Overall, it was a very spiritual and amazing week. I'm so grateful to be a missionary.
Love you all. Have a great week,
