Update from President and Sister Vega
Dear Missionary Families,
We would like to inform you that all of the Elders and Sisters that have been representing the Savior, as true disciples of Him, in Zion’s field, are all now in Piura. Those that were in the provinces of Tumbes and its surrounding areas, Talara, Sullana, Paita, and the rest of the areas around Piura are currently staying in a Hotel here in Piura. They are in good health, a little tired but excited to return home and see their loved ones.
They will be leaving from PIURA tomorrow, the 6th of April on a chartered flight at 11:40 in the morning and will be arriving in LIMA at approximately 1:20 in the afternoon. They will then be taking a flight at 2:30 in the afternoon to LOS ANGLES, USA.
The Area Church Travel Office will be contacting you to inform you of the travel plans from Las Angeles to their final destination.
We feel a great love, respect, and admiration for these disciples of the Lord. They all have shown energy, disposition, desire, sacrifice, and love as they worthily represent the Lord. My beloved wife and I will miss them greatly and we feel blessed to have had them among us and been able to learn from each and every one of them. They have been great teachers and are amazing. Thank you for preparing them for this great cause and we hope that they can keep bringing the words of life to all the world and continue building up this marvelous work.

Information on bus getting detained from Tumbes to Piura:
#Emergency State | BUS WITH FOREIGNERS FROM TUMBES IS PREVEN TO ENTER THE CITY OF TALARA.
Cash of the PNP, FAP and Municipal Serenage prevented Talara from entering Talara to a bus from Tumbes with American citizens who referred to be missionaries of the Mormon Church, and who sought to enter the city for lunch. Upon receiving a resounding refusal from law enforcement, the mobile unit continued its way on the Pan American road heading to Piura.
