Hey everyone,
I'm gonna start off by hitting you up with a health story of the week! You're probably wondering why because I'm not the health sec anymore, but this time the patient was me haha. So, I woke up Wednesday morning and the left side of my chest was hurting, kind of by the rib cage. I didn't really pay a ton of attention to it, but the next day it like hurt a ton. Like when i was walking, I couldn't breathe. So, I called the health sec and asked him to do some research, but he did not find promising stuff. So, he was getting me kind of worried because I thought it was a possible problem with the lungs or heart or something. I ended up calling Sister Vega and went to the hospital in Tumbes (which was super sketch). I went into the ER and this doctor looked at me and said that my lungs were fine and so was my heart. So, I was like, "Well, what's the problem?" He said that I must have pain in the muscles around the lungs that could be causing breathing pain. So, basically I went to the hospital for being too sore from a workout or something haha. Pretty funny, and maybe a little embarrassing. Everything turned out ok though.
Update on Huangala (my second area) it's now a branch and it's getting almost 50 in attendance. Deyber and his sister are attending every week, and Angelo is the sunday school teacher! Absolutely crazy how much that place has grown. I can't wait to go back some day.
We had a good week. I have completely regained my love for Peruvian food. I love rice again for some reason. I don't know when I regained my love for it, but I honestly look forward to lunch again everyday. I've been learning how to make some mean chaufa, so life's good!
It rained on Sunday which means that nobody came to church haha. So I had to bless the sacrament and put together a 15 minute talk in 3 minutes, but it was all worth it because Jose and Nancy came!!! Huge miracle that Jose came. I did not expect him there, and Nancy is progressing super awesome. She has the desire to get baptized. She just needs to get married, which she is willing to do. She will probably get baptized later down the line in April or May, but she is doing great! Hadeth should be getting baptized on Friday, if everything goes well. So our area is progressing really well. A lot better than when I got here.
I love being a missionary, I love the people here. I love this gospel.
