Hey everyone, this week went by super quick! We had a couple cool things happen this week! Had a super awesome temple tour with Jerry Perry, and a member with us Brother Dale. These two have the coolest spiritual connection, its kinda crazy! Jerry was suppose to come to church this week, but his daughter came into town suddenly and he made his daughter call us and apologize, haha it was sweet! We will also be meeting with Charlie Wright tomorrow hopefully to get his baptismal date set. We had to postpone it cause he has been in and out of town so frequently. But him and his wife have both been attending church every week, even out of town. They realized that where ever they go, they always have a church family. Victor Medina was able to receive the Aaronic Priesthood this last Sunday, and we are going with him on Saturday up to the Temple, really looking forward to that!
So I'm basically a hero! We were just driving along a dusty road the other day and my companion spotted a kitten on the side of the road.
We first contacted the person that was up the street then we went back. Elder Larsen didn't want to stop cause he's allergic to cats, haha but I partly jumped out of the car so he couldn't just drive away. I went and picked up the kitty and put it in our car. We took it to a members home and it turns out, it was super sick and really needed a vet. So we saved a soul, I’ll include some pictures of the heroic event!!
For my spiritual thought this week, I wanted to talk a little about my mission president. President Christiansen is one of whom I greatly admire and look up to! He has given me great council and a wonderful adviser throughout my mission. I noticed something the other night as we were at a stake missionary meeting. It was the ZL’s (zone leaders), all the bishops, ward mission leaders, the stake presidency, and President Christiansen. Several topics came up during the course of the meeting that were directed at President Christiansen. When they were asked, he sat there a moment, pondered and then answered the question. Of course the answer was eloquent, and precise and to the point. I feel that this had been his pattern since I have known him. He ponders for a moment then he knows exactly what to say. I feel that he has the companionship of the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost, can be paralleled with the frequency of a radio. To get a clear sound we must be tuned in. Being "tuned in" is our task. Because the spirit Knows all things if we are tuned in, we will hear exactly what we need to hear in the exact moment it is required. I pray that, like my great example President Christiansen, we can each find the frequency and be tuned in. I know it can hard at times but the Lord will strengthen us if we keep trying! I know this to be true!
Love you all,
