Hey guys! Hope everyone's week is going well!! Had another good week. Heavenly Father ended it on a good note for us again. We first had our investigators tell us that they are going to get married this week so that they can get baptized (they are part of the Stull family). I was telling everyone about last week! We had another lesson with Nancy who is deathly afraid to go to church and we had a church tour which we were super stoked about and are hoping that she will come to church this next week! Then the couple that is getting married this week (Angle and Josh) came to church and absolutely loved it! Our ward is kinda small but it's good because it gave everyone a chance to come up and meet them they said it was like a big, small family... haha! We are planning on going down to the temple with them later this week so that they can see the lights for Christmas and so they can go through the visitors center! Good things are happening! Then to end our week off we had a lesson last night at a members house with Andre one of our investigators. Our members neighbor stopped by randomly and we got to talking with them and now we have a lesson with them tonight! Super excited to teach them! (Zoey and Dan)
For my spiritual thought this week I want to talk about a formula that our mission president gave us this last week in zone conference. We started off by talking about faith and how faith will have a great impact on our success. Something else I wrote down that I like was that the principle of power is engaged as we act in faith and truly believe what we do will have an effect. Diligence, Obedience, and seeking the spirit, all help engage that power. Most of the time we tell ourselves "well if we stop doing this" or "start doing that" we will be more Christlike, or we will have more success or we will see a change in our lives. And those are the first two formulas he shared with us:
Me + More = success
Me + More = Christlike
But the real formula and the real answer I feel is this:
Me + Christ = More
We will become better as we add Christ to our lives, and how we do that is the basics: reading, praying and going to church and fully letting him be in our lives. As we give ourselves to him we will become more, we will become better each and every day! I know these things are true in the name of Jesus Christ
I love you all and hope you have a great week!
