Behold I am a Disciple of Jesus Christ!

Hello. Today has been so darn busy. We had a zone p-day today and a service project in the morning. It has been a good day though. I’m glad I got a chance to read all of your nice emails. Thank you so much for sending me so many. It really is nice to get on the computer and hear from my beloved family and friends. It really is nice and man did I need all those emails today. I’ve been really bad at emailing people lately. For the girls I have both of their letters written and they are sitting on my study table at home. They have been there for a long time, actually I just have to send them.

This past week has been up and down. It’s been more of an internal struggle than anything else. There is this place up in our area that is about a 10 minute taxi ride from our house and it hasn’t seen missionaries for a while. It’s been a gold mine. It’s been a place that people will actually listen to us. Each day I learn more and more what MY purpose as a missionary is. Latter-day Saint missionaries have a very specific purpose.

Behold I am a disciple of Jesus Christ. It is my deep conviction that he has called me to declare the gospel to his people in Jamaica. Expect a miracle, for we live in a day of miracles. I’m so tired of having ehhh weeks or okay weeks. This next week I’m going to do everything I can to become a better missionary. I also think about what I can do to be a missionary like Elder Cates was. One thing I can promise anyone who is reading this letter is that complacency will lead you to sheer misery. It’s a slow and steady poison that will eventually destroy you. Be thankful and be humble, but never satisfied.
