Whats going on y'all? I hop everyone is having a good monday so far.
This week was relatively vanilla, but vanilla is still good, so we arent too upset about it.
On Tuesday we had the chance to go to the temple for a zone conference. Temples are so cool, even though theres a lot to take in. But after the temple we had a big thanksgiving dinner, and were able to watch "Its a wonderful life," which i had never seen before. Great movie, i am a big fan.
We were able to meet up with our old buddy Robert this week. We gave him some home made cookies and had a nice discussion about fasting. Good guy.
We went to one of our Senior centers on Thursday and helped put up even more christmas decorations. Lots of little trees. Then we rode our bikes to Sams club to get an order of insulin, and we had a tender mercy of the Lord happen to us. A member family from a different ward saw us and asked if they could get our dinner for us, so we graciously accepted. You hear stories like that all the time, but it had never happened to me before. so nice. Then we rode in the rain to another families house to give them sympathy cookies because they had a stressful week.
this cookie craze comes from me getting my mom/grandmas recipe and then me being half way decent at making them. So now we make them for everyone hahah.
On Friday we helped the other ward in the area set up for their Christmas party, and then we were about to leave to go to District council in Conyers, but they called and told us not to come because there was an active shooter in Conyers somewhere. pretty wild. so we got Chilis with the Sisters and then went down to conyers cause they got things under control.
We helped our ward mission leader move friday night and Saturday morning, and ladies and gentleman let me tell ya, a samsung refrigerator is not worth it. They are simply too freakin heavy.
Saturday we were the train conductors for the Snellville wards Polar express Christmas party. It was lots of fun, even though the train (closed off hallway with decorations and chairs) had no ac at all whatsoever. Kids at Christmas time are so pure. i love it.
Sunday was a regular day, except for the brother in our ward that we had dinner with is a legend! He played in the MLB for 8 years in the 70's and 80's, and was almost teammates with Kareem abdul jabbar and Bill Walton at UCLA! hes only like 5'8, but he still almost made the basketball team. Such a cool guy.
i think thats pretty much it for this week! Im going off of what was left in my brain so i probably left something out, but thats okay.
I hope yall have a great week, and are continuing to #LightTheWorld! I know we are trying our best forsure.
Stay warm, stay blessed and Have a very merry Christmas season.
