Last week's letter--sorry it's late
What's up everyone! Hope you all had a great week and that your prayers were answered
It was a good week, little tough but that's all good, nothing God can't handle. This week we've been able to see God's hand in the work so much and it's been amazing! Dorothy, Olive, and Raine are going to be baptized this weekend so please pray for them! Had lots of cool lessons this week and the work is definitely moving forward! It's such an honor and a blessing to be apart of this great and marvelous work of the Lord. Gathering scattered Israel and helping to fulfill the Lord's covenant. What an opportunity!
We were in a lesson at the park with a friend Michael and we taught him he restoration. Before we taught when we were walking to the park he was telling us how he was already baptized Catholic and that he just wanted to learn about we believed. At the end of our lesson he said he needed to be baptized again and that during the lesson he just felt peace, calmness, happy. This was the spirit. Mosiah 5: 2 says. "And they all cried with one voice, saying: Yea, we believe all the words which thou hast spoken unto us; and also, we know of their surety and truth, because of the Spirit of the Lord Omnipotent, which has wrought a mighty change in us, or in our hearts, that we have no more disposition to do evil, but to do good continually." It wasn't King Benjamin that wrought the change in them, it was the SPIRIT. When we have the spirit with us like in our lesson with Michael and in the instance of King Bemjamins people, we have the ability to change lives! To truly help others to understand the truth and live a more christlike life which will lead them to a happier more fulfilling life. May we all strive to be even more worthy of the spirit today and tomorrow and the next day and forever. I testify that as you do you will see a greater impact on those around you, you will have more guidance throughout your crazy lives, you will see others as God sees them, and you will be able to see God's hand in your life!
