Happy Father's Day and Happy Dragon Boat Festival!!!
This week, this week, this week.... I'll give you an update on Sister Xie!! She's doing ssooo good!! She texted us this week telling us that she has a testimony of Joseph Smith being a prophet of God and that while reading in Moroni she felt very impressed with the importance and need of baptism. Hahaha. Lemme tell ya, that's some of the greatest possible things you can hear from someone as a missionary!! I love it. Excited for her. Keep her in your prayers!
We teach an English class every week put on by a local community leader. Hahaha every time it's just absolutely hysterical. These grown adults LOVE playing the games we played back in primary. No way we could get by with these in America. This last week we played "Do you love your neighbor" with them. Huge success!!! Hahaha
We also went on exchanges and I got to go with Elder Fanning. Such a stud! We had a grand time. At the end we were sitting down in a quiet place to evaluate how it went. We had just finished a DTM on the Spirit and receiving revelation. There was one point of our evaluation where we just sat there quiet for a second and Elder Fanning says "I'm so grateful for the Holy Ghost." I asked why. "Because I can feel Him here with us right now." And he was right!
I'm convinced that nobody in their right mind would ever want to do anything that would force that feeling, force the Holy Ghost, to leave them. No way. So what can we do to stay in that right mind?? That might be somewhat different for everyone, but I think the most important ones are the little, seemingly inconsequential things. Daily scripture study and prayer, both individually and as a family. Those are probably the most basic yet most vital things we can do to help us stay in that right frame of mind and have His Spirit always to be with us. Please do the little things.
Love you all!! Have a great week!! You gotta love it!!! :)
