We have been working very hard in our sector and in the zone to be able to help the people that have fechas bautismales get baptized. We have been working with a family that presented their baby the two sundays ago. The wife and daughter are preparing to be baptized. At first, they had to get married and everything, but they got married last Friday! It was such a miracle. We were working with the bishop to help get the fecha for the 19th, but when he went to the civil the only fecha was for the 11th. Meaning we would have to plan the wedding in 4 days. We went for it. At first the hermano lost his carnet( something very important to have if you want to get married) and we were going to have to cancel. The hermano told us that he was waiting for a new one and we would have to wait a couple weeks. He then said the next date open for marriage was in March. We were a litle sad, we kept telling him we can help him look through his house to try and find it. Then, like lightning in a thunderstorm, hermano christofer whipped his carnet our and told us that he had found it! We got a little mad at him for joking with us but then got to work. We planned with the ward to help have some reception in the church with the family and everything. It was a changing point here in Galvarino. The bishop was a little tired and lots of members had lost hope in the obra misional. However, the news of the wedding got everyone to wake up a little. The new primary president is excited to work with the girls from the family. The new president of the Soc Soc made an amazing cake and is an awesome help with Fabiola. Also, the family of christofer is all less active members. They came to the church to congratulate him and we saw this family more united than ever. One of the brothers even said that he is going to set a goal to be sealed in the temple. I am very excited for this family and the potential there is in the ward here in Galvarino.
We also had a miracle, Raul, who was going to be baptized in the Concepcion mission but moved to our sector. He has big desires to be baptised, but first he needs to find a steady job where he doesnt work on Sundays. We are praying and working with him.
We are also working with a familia PF who has a son that is 10 years old that wants to be baptized. We are working to re-activate tha family so that he can be baptised and to help the family keep their covenants. They are all awesome and have all been to church once. The problem is that they dont have work. The dad has been stressing a lot trying to find a job to help support his family. We were able to talk to him and share with him the miracles that come when we are exactly obedient.
Scripture of the week, Mosiah 3:19 CHECK ITOUT!
Love you guys!
