Dawn of the First Day (in our new apartment)
Dear everybody awesome,My first transfer is up! For all of you who don't know, a transfer is 6 weeks and that is how time is organized on missions. Usually, not always, you switch missionary companions after two or three transfers. This time, I kept my companion! I am glad too, Elder Bavelas is excellent!
But, something went down... The sister missionaries in my ward left!! So now it is just Elder Bavelas and I in this ward! We are now in charge of missionary work for 6 of the cities on the Coast!! It is crazy, but I am excited for the extra work! The sister missionaries were excellent.. but there just wasn't enough work here for them.
So, today my companion and I left our home that we have had this past six weeks.. and we moved into the apartment the Hermanas used to be in.. I am really going to miss our old home, but this new apartment is on the fifth floor of a building that is two blocks away from the ocean!! It is an incredible view, our windows look out on the ocean!
We have found new people to teach too, in our area!! So we will inherit the Hermanas one investigator and long list of less active members and we will teach them, and we will go and teach our five investigators =)
The best part of this entire week was that I got to take part in the Argentina Cordoba Temple dedication! We went to a church in a nearby town, called Santa Teresita, and there the temple dedication was broadcast! President Deiter F Uchtdorf dedicated it, and Elder D Todd Christofferson spoke at it..
President Uchtdorf can't speak Spanish, so he had a translator.. But it turns out Elder D Todd Christofferson can speak PERFECT Spanish! Who knew? His Spanish is excellent, I loved listening to him and Uchtdorf.
My thought for you all this week is on our thoughts. I believe our thoughts are more important than we give them credit. Out of our mind comes our speech and our actions, and for this we need to take care of our thoughts. Instead of wasting your thoughts and your time on those things that will pass, I encourage you to really turn your thoughts to the Savior, to your loved ones, and to those things that you can improve in your life! This life is a wonderful opportunity to become who we are meant to be, so we better take it =)
I love you all!
Hurrah for Israel!

Additional information from letter to Mom and Dad:
The name of my district is "La Costa" (The Coast). I wasn't able to bring the chocolate milk packets you sent because I didn't have room in my carry on and my suit cases weighed too much, but there are chocolatey beverages here! The puppy's name is Tommy!
The other missionaries in my district were: Hermana Flores, Hermana Spruill, Elder Ridgeley, Elder Araneda, Elder Baum, and Elder Da Silva.
Haha, I hope that answers all of your questions mama! Everything is good here, I am loving the life of the Coast! I am tired a lot of the time, because I am still adjusting.. but I love the city I am in! It is sooooooo pretty!
I really like the scripture in Mosiah 2:17
"And behold I tell you these things that ye might learn wisdom, that ye may learn that when ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God."
