Dear Friends, family, and world,This week was excellent. Even though Elder Sosa and I have only 10 months between the both of us, his Mexican mannerisms can carry us through the most awkward, most difficult, and most interesting moments. Elder Sosa has a way with speaking. He always sits there with perfect posture, folds his hands to make a bridge, and then begins to speak. He has a sort of nasaly voice but still, he pulls it off with power. He looks the investigator, inactive, or whoever it may be in the eye, opens his mouth, and begins to speak in a very educated manner. He moves his eyebrows in crazy ways and says everything that needs to be said in a very orderly manner. Always, no matter what he says, people listen. I believe the secret is in his eyebrows, but I do not know. Haha he is kind of a weird guy, but he's great! He always pulls pranks on me that sneaky trickster.
Anyways anyways anyways, Rewind.. 7 days ago. I emailed all of you early. And immediately after that, I left for a city nearby called Pinamar. There, we had a zone activity. We played games, ate tacos, and enjoyed our time together. When all was said and done, ALL of the elders went to the apartment of the Zone Leaders. When 6 o'clock hit, we all went out and worked in the area of the zone leaders. I went
with an Elder Jones.. FROM ALASKA. He only has 6 months on the mission, and I have 4 and a half.. He and I knocked one house, we tried our best and were persistent, and still we were denied. As we walked on we saw a family through a window. They were all busy and working hard.. so at first we decided to walk on. We then felt a strong impression to go back and clap their house. So we did that... and they let us in! We taught an awesome lesson and committed them to baptism! I am super excited for them! That family is now in the hands of the Zone Leaders in Pinamar.
At nine o'clock, we all returned to the apartment of the Zone Leaders. We told stories, ate alfajores, sung, boxed, laughed, and had a good time. At about 9:40 we all sat down and calmed down. Together, we had an amazing meeting, and each of us shared our reason for serving a mission. The Spirit was there strongly, and some of the other elders cried! It was an amazing time.
It is amazing to be here with so many different elders from so many different places. I love this work. Every time all the missionaries are together, I can feel the Spirit strongly. It is an amazing amazing experience. I know that this is the Lord's work and I am glad to be a part of it!
