A Man on a Mission: The Return of Mamma Kitty

Hey Folks! Hope all is going well!

So, lets get down to the nitty gritty... I know it looks long and you probably won't read the whole thing but it is worth it!

This week was pretty incredible! There are so many miracles in our lives everyday! Look around and find them! This week we had so many members help us! We had 7 members come out with us this week! Y'all don't even know how amazing that is!

We met a man named Larry this week, and started teaching him the lessons. Folks remember how blessed you are to have what you have. Count your MANY blessings. Larry is 71 years old. He has one shirt that he wears, because that is all that he has. He lives in a camper in the woods, and I am 90% sure he can't afford indoor plumbing or electricity. Larry was recently diagnosed with Lung cancer from a smoking problem. He is staring death in the face. He wants to get right with God and he needs us to help him.

Isn't it amazing how challenges humble us? Why do we have challenges? Why do we face adversity? Recently, a lady we talked to a few weeks ago called us asking for help. She was broken down on the side of the road, and the police were going to take her car.... which was also her home. (She told us to call her Mamma Kitty???) She is in a really bad spot right now. She has so many righteous desires but her life has just been HARD. WHY? Why does this happen?

Let me tell you about my best friend. His name is Jesus Christ and he is my master. He is what will get us through these challenges. He is the way. Why do we have them in the first place? Lets turn to the truest book on the earth...

"And if men com unto me I will show unto them their weakness. I give unto men weakness that they may be humble; and my grace is sufficient for all men that humble themselves before me; for if they humble themselves before me, and have faith in me, then will I make weak things become strong unto them."

Ether 12: 27

You could go two ways when going through a trial. You can turn away, or you can turn towards God. Towards our HEAVENLY FATHER. And may we not forget why we are here... TO BE TESTED. Our Heavenly Father wants to see who you will choose when given the option to run away, or run to him. Afflictions give us the opportunity to choose HIM. And as we do so, He molds us. He makes us more than we could ever become on our own. I promise you that!

Don't wait to turn to Him! Because of our Savior Jesus Christ all may be well. It is through the Atonement of Him we can be saved.

Challenge: Read Alma 36. Write down how you can let the Savior rescue you in your own life!

I love you all! God is GOOD! HE LOVES YOU!

This is how my day ends everyday... blessed.
