Week 45: Bydgoszcz

It was a whirlwind of a week for me! Last Monday I moved to Northern Poland to a town called Bydgoszcz. Bydgoszcz is alot bigger than Kielce, with so many different people from different countries and cultures and to me it is a huge blessing to serve in a place like this. Bydgoszcz is a very unique old German city, and it is very beautiful. There is a river which runs right through the middle of it and hundreds of shops and restaurants. Our apartment is seriously so cool, along with the chapel! I'm pretty stoked because I have a real bed to sleep in now! The food here is equally awesome, and its said that Bydgoszcz has the best burgers in all of Poland! From what I have had so far, that ain't far from the truth! There is also a really good fish and chips shack that I really enjoyed. I'm hoping that soon we can try some Georgian cooking in the bakeries! This week I met 5 of the members of Bydgoszcz. Wojtek had us over for a fish dinner on Friday night and topped it off with fruit tarts for dessert! It was such a great meeting! On Saturday, I met one of our newest members, Damian who was baptized about 3 weeks ago! He is such a cool guy, I'm looking forward to getting to know more about him! After our meeting, we had an online call with Koni who is currently in Ireland because of the pandemic! She is super cool!! We watched a Book of Mormon video together, talked about forgiveness and got to know each other better! Later we spent some time moving Konis belongings out if her dorm into the chapel until she gets back and that's when I met the Branch President Szymon and his wife Gina! They are super kind, and super young! Szymon is from Poland and Gina is from Taiwan! Everyone I met this week was super cool. I also get to manage the church's page on Facebook in Poland this transfer which has been fun! My new companion is a really fun and charitable missionary named Elder Boden, and we have been getting along great! I've actually been sick the last few days with a cold and wasn't able to attend church. Luckily today is P Day so I can rest! Things are good. I am going to hit my year mark in a few weeks and I am so excited for that! Only 6 transfers left, then that's it. I'm excited for what will come next! I love you all so very much. Thank you for praying for me. I hope all is well and I hope to hear from you! Have a great week alright? Bye!
