Dzien Dobry!!! Wow what a fast week!! We have had alot going on lately, and have been having fun while doing it! I don't know if I mentioned this, but we are working on a short film about the missionaries in Poland! The project started before I arrived but I have been blessed to have been given the chance to help produce and put it all together with the cinematics! It is almost done and we are so excited to share it with the world! This week we have had some funny things happen! So let's start with Andrzej... Hes an old man who loves America haha!! He looks like Colonel Sanders haha! From KFC! He had been begging us for a hair cut! So what did we do? We gave the man a haircut! We were so scared to do it but we did! It actually turned out so nice! So that happened😂😂😂
We met an old lady on the street last night and we asked her for bus money because we are out!! She was like wait.. where are you from? We were like, we are from the United States! She freaked out and was like I lived there for 34 years and had a dream job as a nurse assistant at a nursing home and got married! She was so funny and happy and loud and had so much energy! Holy cow I was dying, she was like yeah, I found my dog here in the woods in america and took him home and names him CoCo because hes Mexican.😂😂 And then she was saying how she had to move back to Poland 4 years ago because her mom is 94 and not doing well and she needed to care for her. Because of her decision her husband divorced her and she had to leave everything she loved in America! She was like, "when I was married my husband brought us to a new church every week and they were all like HALLELUJAH HALLELUJAH in one of them and I said, FREAK these FREAKING people are crazy!" She loves the word Freaking and thats what everyone called her at Work is Mrs. Freaking. Hearing someone say 'freaking' in Poland was literally the best thing ever!! Haha she was the best and she wants to meet with us!! We gave her a book of mormon too! She's so cool!! That's my favorite part of the week. I'll send you all some pics from this week, the weather was perfect and the fall colors are amazing!!! We had a walk through the park yesterday and it was so peaceful.
This week we are traveling to Wrocław for Zone Confrence! It's about a 4 hour drive. I am really excited! We also are going to Katowice this next weekend for District Confrence!
This week has been great and we have met some really wonderful people in this city. I love being in Kielce, it's so different from America, but I love it! I'm grateful to be here and will keep pushing forward with faith and happiness! Thank you so much for you prayers and messages! I'm sorry I don't always have time to respond to everything!! I'll do my best, please just know that I love each one of you so much and I see you all as one of the BIGGEST and most impactful and important blessings in my life. Thank you for supporting me and lifting me up. You are incredible.
I am learning very valuable lessons in the mission field. I made a list of the things I am learning to do and the person I am hoping to become and it makes me very happy and anxious to continue to grow. Growth is never easy. But the Lord didnt send us to earth for everything in our lives to be easy. If we want to be like him, we need to rely on his teachings and fighting through adversity. I am learning to do that. I know, easier said than done! None of us are alone, if nothing else, please find comfort in that.
Last night we met with a man from Italy. He believed that this life is about duty and not about joy. He struggles to know if his Heavenly Father loves him. I will promise you the same thing that I promised this man last night. Read the Book of Mormon, cover to cover, read it with a sincere heart, and pray in the name of Jesus Christ to know if it is true. I know that it is true and that you will feel it in your heart. But I can't feel it for you, you need to discover the truth on your own! I love you all! I will talk to you soon!
