MTC Week 6: Where is my Family from???

Two weeks left in the MTC. Nine weeks is an eternity but it goes so fast! We are into week 7! We are now the Great Grand Daddies of the MTC meaning we are the oldest ones here. It's a great title to hold until we go right back to square one in Poland!! But its ok!! We cannot even wait! The Lord still needs time to prepare his children to recieve the sweet word of the restored gospel. It's worth the wait. I want to make people happy.

This week was a week full of new discoveries! Among the most important and exciting was discovering more information about my ancestors. My 2nd great grandfather on my mother's side and grandmothers side, and his ancestors are all from POLAND. I found that my 6th great grandfather from Poland is missing his temple Endowment.. Oh you already know who is looking forward to completing that!! I've had alot of emotion reflecting on where I am serving and how my family is from Poland. We are from Szczecin, Goleniow, Poland. A beautiful little town. I pray the Lord will allow me to serve in that area at some point if he needs it.

Learning about Poland is so awesome. I can’t wear my CTR ring on my right hand because that's a sign of marriage! Left hand it is! New and fun discoveries right?! I have set a goal to only speak Polish for the next few weeks until I leave. September 30th! It will be hard, but anything is possible through the Lord. If you don’t feel that way, try it out. It takes faith and hard work, but you truly can accomplish anything. No reason to do it all on your own when you don’t have to . Why would you put yourself through that? Our brother literally died and felt every pain and anxiety you have ever felt, EVERYTHING. All so that you don’t have to do it alone. Dont let the the greatest sacrifice known to our world not help you on a daily basis! I speak from experience. I am nothing without my Savior.

Yesterday it finally rained at the MTC. Anyone who knows me knows how much I love the Rain and cold weather. I was grateful for the change in weather!

We had the opportunity to hear from Elder Garry E. Stevenson from the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles on Tuesday! It was an amazing devotional and we learned so much about the powerful tools given to missionaries to accomplish this work. The Book of Mormon, Missionary Handbook, Preach my Gospel.

One last story. So a week ago we were playing volleyball, and I ACCIDENTALLY fractured my zone leaders hand in 2 places when I spiked it! Oops!! I feel so bad! He's at the hospital right now getting it checked out, but I'm praying for him!

I'm sorry this message is a little bit shorter this week, but life is getting busier and busier. I love you all so much. I have loved getting your messages and being able to hear about your lives. Let me know if I can help any of you in any way. Have an incredible week. I am praying for you.
