We were waiting at the wrong terminal! So, no awesome pictures or video of him coming down the escalator.
Luckily someone walked by and mentioned that they had been at the wrong terminal, and that's when we realized that we might have done the same thing! Since his flight showed that it had arrived quite a while ago. As we started walking toward the other terminal I got a phone call from a number I didn't know, but answered anyway and didn't recognize the voice. But then he said "mom". And I knew who it was! I immediately told him we were on our way and that we were just at the wrong terminal.
Some people by him had mentioned to him that there had been an accident on the freeway and another had mentioned that there was a bad snow storm that we may have gotten caught in. That had him a little concerned, so he was extra happy to see us when we finally showed up. Dad got to him for the first hug and I ended up getting one of the last.
While we were at the wrong terminal we saw some other missionaries arriving home and a few of us got teary-eyed seeing their reunion with their families. We couldn’t wait to see Zac show up. And then we ended up being the only ones there waiting and that is when we realize that we might be at the wrong place.
We are so happy to have him home, our family is whole once again! ❤️
Well done thou good and faithful servant!
I missed taking the picture of the crying Zac and Will. 🤦🏻♀️
