It Was Raining Like Two Cows Peeing On A Flat Rock
Hey there fam,
That is great about your week mom! That sounds super fun to just go hike, and learn, and see things like that. It is funny to think how much we know about our ancestors and such, and to be honest down here, most people don't even know their grandparents. We take it for advantage a little bit. Knowing so much about our families. That is great everyone at home is good, and summer is finnaly kicked off. We saw a few american families down here this last week, so that means it is starting to be vacation time. haha. Well, this week, quite the week to be honest. Had an adventure and a half. We ended up going to Guadalajara on wednesday. So, to get there, we have to take two buses, and a few taxis. We left Tuesday to Tepic. Got there at a reasonable time, and took a taxi to stay with some other Elders. We hung up there, got haircuts, and slept on the floor there. We got to bed by about 1 when everything was said and done. Best part, got up at 3:30, and got ready. No taxi answered me, so we had to go hike around town for a bit looking for one. Had this old cranky man drive us, he charged me too much, but I was too tired and it was way to early to do anything about it. Next hopped on another bus to Guadalajara. 4 hours. Fun time there. Keep in mind, seats aren't too great in size. My companion isn't a small man by the stretch of the imagination. So, I spent four hours with him half way in my seat passed out asleep. I didn't sleep much to be short and sweet. Spent a whole day over there, and got to stay the night with Elder Hutchings again. Such a good man. It was raining like two cows peeing on a flat rock in the afternoon, so we went on an adventure through town to go get food. We were soaked. While wearing our suit pants and brand new shoes. We weren't too happy there. Our mistake though. We had a good talk, just like back in the good old days. Got up in the morning and came on back to San Blas. Thursday, we chilled in the house. We were both sick, so Sister Clayton told us to stay in. I slept on the buses, in the taxis, and the moment I got home went to bed. I slept till 9. received reports, then went back to bed till the morning. Haha. You want to talk about needed sleep, that was it. Got to work Friday and Saturday, had some full days. We were non stop visiting people that we hadn't visited for almost a week. But got everything taken care of. Everything good. We don't have any baptism dates, nobody on board for baptism, but we got people interested. We will get there. Gonna have another messed up week. I had a little toe operation today. They cut my nail to my big toe off, and so gonna be in house till Wednesday night. We got to go to Guadalajara again. We got a leadership training. That shall be fun. Don't know how much longer I will be here in San Blas. President told me the Lord has other plans for me and that the mission expects great things from me. Hijole. Don't know quite what that means, but got a feeling we are going to figure it out real soon. Les amo. Keep on keepin' on.
