Week 79 - Exchanges!
Hey Everybody!
I hope that you all have had a wonderful week! When it finally starts to look like spring in Vermont, it just decides to snow another couple inches! We will be getting one day of 50 degree weather this week!
We went on a lot of exchanges this week. We started on Wednesday morning and then after 3 different exchanges, I got back with my companion on Saturday evening. We had exchanges with the St. Albans, Lamoille, and the Newport Elders. Each of those exchanges were great and proved to be great learning opportunities and lots of fun! It was lots of fun to go and see some of the small towns that Vermont has to offer and we met some really cool people. One of the people that we talked to on exchanges was a guy that believes in everything. I don't know how it is possible to believe in everything, but hey, more power to him! He still took a copy of the Book of Mormon and wanted us to come back! We also went looking for a way into Canada and we ended up meeting someone there that wanted to learn more! So all-in-all we had some pretty good exchanges.
I will briefly tell you about one of the people that we have began teaching, Andrew. He was taught by missionaries in the past and was pretty close to being baptized, but he couldn't quite make it. He got less interested in the church. A couple weeks ago we messaged this random guy on Facebook and he turned out to be this guy that had learned before. It was pretty awesome because he said that he had just started thinking of the church and reading the Book of Mormon like two weeks ago, and then we messaged him out of the blue! He of course said we could come and teach him and hopefully we will see him progress!
