Week 70 - A Chilly Tahitian

Hey Everybody!!!

I hope everybody has been enjoying the snow! I heard we got a good dumping yesterday in Blanding, and here in Vermont we got a couple inches as well! So as I said last week, I got transferred up to Essex VT. Our area covers a good portion of Burlington VT, and then it covers a good ways north and east of there. I already love this area!! It is crazy though coming from Massachusetts where one of the towns has as many people as our entire area up here. It is great though and it feels fantastic to really enter back into true New England.
The first of this week was saying goodbyes to people and packing up. I will send a bunch of pictures that I took with a bunch of people. It was really sad leaving those people I love, but new change brings new opportunities!
Thursday was transfer day and so we drove up there. When we got there the assistants told me that I needed to go into the trainers meeting. So it turns out that Elder Tefan, who I told you about last week, is a new missionary coming straight from Tahiti! He also speaks fluent French! He wasn't in the states yet, so instead of getting him on Thursday, Elder Augir and I traveled the three hours home and then went down on Saturday and picked him up! It has been a blast! He is definitely going to have to take some time to adjust to the weather hahaha. We are getting some really cold weather here, like -8 on Friday, and we are in a car share.... so we will be praying for warmer weather as a whole!

Since I arrived in Essex I have learned a lot. I have learned some about being a zone leader, some about Swahili, some about Vermont, some about brown rice, some about 2 hour church, and some about teaching crazy kids! All in all, I would say it has been a successful week. I love you all and I hope you have a great week!
