Week 49 - Another year wiser?
Hello Everybody!!!
I hope that y'all had the most wonderful week! I know I did and it was packed with amazing things including my birthday! So I guess another year older and I hope another year wiser? haha I am so grateful though that I have been able to spend this time serving the people of New England and the Lord!
I will give one of the first pieces of exciting news. It is that our trio is down to two! So that is both a good and a bad thing. Good in that Elder Larsen was able to return home, because he served an awseome mission. Even though I was only able to know him for a short-ish time, we were able to become good friends! So now I am training Elder White solo. Also, when Elder Larsen left, I was assigned to be the new district leader!
This week was also filled with a good lesson or two, and some good time spent finding! We were able to teach this lady named Patricia on Monday. I am pretty sure I told about her last week. But anyways, we were able to teach her and we set a baptismal date with her for Sept 15th! Hopefully her sisters will follow right after!
Gary is still doing awesome. I am just so excited for his baptism and wedding this Saturday!
I will share one quick story of our finding this past week. So we were walking back to our car late Saturday night. We had just enough time to talk to one more person before we headed home. But instead of walking left towards our car, I was prompted to go straight. We had walked this road many times and it felt like we had talked to everybody who lived on that street, but yet we went. And sure enough, around the corner there was a mom, dad, and son, standing on their portch! So we started talking with them and we ended up teaching them and we are going to come back later! Also a really funny part, we had just set up our return appointment, the five year old son starts telling us all about his cat that died like 3+ years ago! hahaha I look back and it doesn't seem that funny, but you had to be there! haha
