Week 23 - Mericles

Hey Everybody!

I hope that you all had a great week! I know that I did! I mean every week is great as a missionary, but this one just had some extra good stuff during the week! So I will get on with telling you the good stuff!

On Monday night until Tuesday night we were in Winthrop with the Zone Leaders. Winthrop is a pretty small place. So there has just not been much success there in the past, but we wanted to change that! So we went to work! On Tuesday, Elder Patten and I (one of our Zone Leaders, I also knew him from my first area) were able to find 4 new investigators and 3 promising potential investigators! It was such a good day and we saw so many 'mericles (miracles).

Then on Wednesday we kept on a roll! At like 3ish in the afternoon on Wednesday the AP's (Elder Larsen and Elder Peterson) showed up at our apartment. They were going to be spending the night with us because we had Zone Conference on Thursday. Also on Wednesday, there was a pretty big snow storm. We ended up getting about 10 inches of snow…I think (but I didn't take my measuring tape outside to see). Anyways, we were able to see a lot of success! Everything was shut down because of the storm, but we were still able to find a lot of people to teach! Elder Larsen and I were able to find 4 new Investigators and 5 promising potential investigators and my companion and Elder Peterson were able to find 2 more new investigators! So we will be having a lot more people to teach this week and in the future! It was such a big miracle because it has been really hard to find people recently! We just saw so many 'mericles!

On Sunday we saw another miracle! So we were expecting to see about 4 our our investigators at church on Sunday. But for some reason, it has been really hard to get people to come to church. I know church attendance will bless them so much and they will have a super spiritual experience, but they get to use their agency! So none of the people that we were expecting to come to church came, but one that we were not expecting to come, came! She just showed up! Apparently she had been taught by a pair of sisters about 2 or 3 years ago in a couple areas over. She felt the need that she needed to get past the struggles with the church that she had before and that she need to be converted! I was so shocked!! She had gotten inspiration to come to church, but she didn't know what church to go to on Sunday. She was Catholic, so she assumed Catholic church, but she ended up coming to our church and we will be teaching her on Wednesday! So amazing!

Hopefully all of this makes sense! This week just strengthened my testimony of how we can do anything with the Lord's help! We really wanted to find people this week, so we set out a plan and then prayed about it to include the Lord in it! Idk if I have told you all this before, but it works so well! So I challenge all of you, that if you want to start something or do something, then set out a plan, and then pray about it, then get to work! I love you all and I hope that you all have a fantastic week!
