So a lot has happened this week but I just got a little bit of time so we'll just do bullet points:
My Christmas was awesome! I got to Skype my family for the first time on the mission and guess what I didn't even cry. haha
One of the people we are teaching, Bro. George, has diabetes and recently went to the hospital because his hemoglobin count was really low. He has to get a blood transfusion, but getting blood in the Philippines can be hard so he is still waiting on that. We gave him a Priesthood blessing, so hopefully he will recover after he gets the transfusion.
My companion Elder Delahoy has finished his mission and was supposed to go to the mission home yesterday but...
We got food poisoning. I don't recommend it.
We also spoke in Sacrament meeting yesterday. We hadn't prepared anything because we were sick, but the Spirit helped us big time and everything went well.
We said our actual goodbyes to Elder Delahoy and yeah now he's gone. :( But its alright because now I have a friend in Australia I can go hang out with if I'm ever down in the land down under.
So that's my week. I definitely saw the Lord's hand this week in so many ways I couldn't even count. That's one thing that's great about the mission: it puts us in a position to see the miracles that surround us everyday. He is in our lives. I know it. I haven't seen Him in person, but I have seen His handiwork in my life, and in the lives of the people I meet. Though the power of the Holy Ghost our eyes can be opened and we can receive a greater testimony that we have a Heavenly Father. He loves us. We are His children, and He wants us to be happy. Jesus Christ lives. He is our Savior. Through Him, we can obtain this happiness.
