YO! WHAT UP. IT'S YA BOY... UHH... ELDER KARTCHNER!
How is everybody doing this very fine Monday!? I hope everyone's week was amazing and full of God's love! I'm so grateful for all of you and the emails and love I've received. It has truly helped me through this transition into missionary life!
This past week was amazing! There were a lot of interesting and fun experiences that I'm gonna share!❤
First off I got a longboard! It is super sick and I'm getting good at riding it👍. Both of my companions have longboards as well and so we have been riding them together today which has been super fun. I'll add some pics at the bottom!
This week has been really good growth wise. My Spanish is improving a lot🤘 and I'm getting more confident talking to people and I am able to see Heavenly Father's hand in my life every day. My companions have helped me grow so much and enjoy the mission life and how to get put of my comfort zone.
We had a few dinners with members this past week and it has been super fun to talk with and get to know the families here in the branch. They're all so nice and friendly and they show a lot of love for the missionaries. One of ladies we met with for a minute and just checking up on told me that even though my vocabulary in Spanish is still small that my accent is very good and I sound like a native speaker!!😁
We have been doing whiteboard tracting a lot recently. We either go door to door or go around in a park with a whiteboard and a question on it and give people a chance to answer the questions. My favorite one so far was the one I did most recently. I asked "What does family mean to you?" It was great to see different people's perspectives and what's important with their families.
Now the scripture I want to share with all of you is.....
D&C 84:85,8885 Neither take ye thought beforehand what ye shall say; but treasure up in your minds continually the words of life, and it shall be given you in the very hour that portion that shall be meted unto every man.
88 And whoso receiveth you, there I will be also, for I will go before your face. I will be on your right hand and on your left, and my Spirit shall be in your hearts, and mine angels round about you, to bear you up.
Rely solely upon the lord and he will help you in everything in your life. Seek out the truth with true intentions and he will give the knowledge you are seeking when you need it. I know that our heavenly father is always looking after us and is always sending his angels to lift us up in ALL times of our lives. You just need to ask and search.
