Buenos días mis amigos mejores,
YOOOO!! First P day out in the field! It has been a blast so far!! It is so weird how much of a difference it is from the CCM. It is a lot of fun so far tho.
Soooo, with the subject line, there is a joke in the ABM (Arkansas Bentonville Mission) that your trainer is your dad. And since this is my first area I have a trainer... well actually 2 😁😂. I have "2 dads" and one is named Elder Delgado. He is from Fort Worth Texas and he is awesome he is also fluent in Spanish so that helps me, and he has been out for about a year so quite a veteran. My other "dad" is Elder Birchenough (Pronounced---Birch-en-O). He is super cool! He is from Washington State and he is about 6'0 funniest kid ever. He has been out about 7 months and his other trainers never worked with his Spanish so this is to help him as well. I love them and they're awesome. I'm excited to learn from them and hopefully I learn quickly😬.
I won't explain my whole week but there is this one experience I want to share.
So this week we taught a lady and her family and she was talking about how since her mom was a member while she was growing up but she (lady we taught) never had the opportunity to go to church bc of family issues, she never got to see for herself the true church she has always FELT that this was the right thing. So I shared with her...                        Alma 32:21 21 And now as I said concerning faith—faith is not to have a perfect knowledge of things; therefore if ye have faith ye hope for things which are not seen, which are true.
We don't need to be able to see all things to know they are true. As long as we have faith and trust in God he will give us knowledge, guidance, and understanding of the things we need.
We have had a couple dinners with members this week and so I have been able to meet a lot of new people in this area!
I am having so much fun out here and learning so much. It is amazing. I still have so much work to do and progress to bring to this area and I'm excited to keep it going.
So my P day will always be on Mondays and I can talk every Monday over email at Tyler.kartchner@myldsmail.net or on Facebook at Tyler Kartchner.
I love you all and you are all in my prayers every night. I hope to hear from all of you!!
                     Con mucho amor,                      -Elder Kartchner
