The past two weeks have been wonderful here in Nuamakrom. Last week we spent Christmas with the Elderly couple that stays here in Praso. They provided us with an awesome traditional food: BURGERS!!! It's been 4 months since I had a good burger so I ws somewhat overjoyed. All of the elders in our zone had the chance to come and we enjoyed together for our Christmas family home evening. We also had the chance to Skype our families. For my first Christmas in Ghana, it wasn't too bad.
With the New Year always comes time for reflection for me. I've thought back to the way The Lord has blessed my life in 2017. As I look back, The hand of the Lord was clearly made manifest in my life. I feel that each experience I have had the past year has been preparing me for this mission. From the spleen laceration to my experiences serving as a temple worker, God has been giving me the chance to learn and prepare myself for this time. In 2018, I want to show The Lord I am grateful for 2017 by being the best missionary I know how to be. I pray that each of us might look inwards and ask what we can give to The Lord this year to show that we recognize and are grateful for the blessings He gives us.
The Father of Heaven and Earth sent us here that He might prove us herewith if we would be obedient to whatsoever thing He shall command us. Let us take responsibility for ourselves and the things God has entrusted to us by proving ourselves herewith.
