Hey everybody! Sorry I haven't written in a little bit, I've been a little on the sick side, but I am basically all the way better now and ready to get to work. So I am in a new area and it is very different. We have a small branch over here in Madison which is kind of cool because I can get to know the members really well. However, the work here is only spanish. In Mcminnville it was considered a spanish area, but we mostly taught in english and had some spanish opportunities, but here, we speak zero english so I am struggling quite a bit. I have a really hard time understanding the spanish speakers and my head usually hurts by the end of the day. I will say, my spanish has improved significantly from my short time here, but I still have a ways to go.
That being said, I am not one hundred percent sure how to tell you about the people we are teaching, because I still don't fully know them and I don't fully understand their needs right now, but Elder Mendoza is helping me out a ton! We did teach a couple who have kids but aren't married about families and we read the Family: A Proclamation to the World and they really seemed to like it. It has been a while since I've read it and it is really good, so if you haven't read it in a while, go read it too. There are a lot of great things in there.
One last thing, we had zone conference yesterday, which is why I am writing on thursday instead of wednesday, and it was amazing! One thing that stuck out to me was about desires. One of the AP's asked us what our greatest desire is. And I honestly had no idea what mine was. For some reason, I had never thought of my desire. What it is, and how to obtain it. So please, reflect with me, What is your greatest desire? and How are you going to obtain that desire? Maybe start small and go from there, but this is something I want to work very much. I hope you are all feeling great and loving life! I love you all so much!
