Well this week was another crazy week filld of last week miracles and me
once again running o get people married.
We had another interchange with Elders in our zone. This time it was
Elder S. Pinheiro that went to help the Jacuí branch. Anyways i got to stay
the week with Elder Orrego! He´s from Chile but he is awesome and already
was accpeted into BYU.
We had the craziest experience together. We have some investigators
who go to church every sunday and even make the bread for sacrement.
However they arent baptized yet because they arent married. About a month
ago we started the marriage but the judge never called us to let us know
when the wedding would be. Well randmoly Friday (when i was cutting grass
with Ueslie and Renan in a young men´s service project to get money for
youth conference) the Judge calls and says the wedding will be Monday! Man
we ran our butts to Larry and Silvanna´s house (the couple) and they said
thy didnt want to get married because it would be happening way to soon and
woudnt give time to do anything. MAN we had the most spiritual lesson about
following the commandments and about trials. I told them that we cant
choose the cards but we can choose how to play them and its the same thing
in life. We cant choose our trials but we can choose how to overcome them.
Then Elder Orrego WENT SPIRTUAL CRAZY on Silvanna using the bible like a
Iphone and boom they accpeted to get married. It was 4:45 and the notary´s
office would close at 5:00 and we had to turn in the names for the
wintesses. MAN I RAN TO THE BRANCH PRESIDENTS HOUSE PICKED UP HIS ID NUMBER
AND HE´S DAUGHTERS ID NUMBER AND WE RAN OUR BUTTS OFF TO THE NEAREST TAXI
AND TOLD THE DRIVER TO FLOOR IT. That driver went light speed to the
notary´s office and we made it in at 4:59. We got the names in and
everything worked out.
We also did a youth activity playing games and it was crazy Elder
Orrego almost died.
Well Larry and Silvanna got married today it was great ill send some
photos! Thier baptism will be Saturday.
