Well this was a great week,
We had exchanges so I stayed with Elder Moran from Michagan and he
made FRICKEN PANCAKES AND CREPES WITH MAPPLE SYRUP HOLY. I was so happy. We
also worked our butts off. He told me he´s never walked faster on his
mission. We had to put some gauze pads on his feet but after that he was
good.
Anyways everything is looking good for the Jeohova´s witnesses to be
baptized so I´m excited about that. We also brought quite a bit of youth to
church who are exciting about baptism.
On Friday Elder O. Rodrigues returned from Cachoiera. He did the
best exchange of his life. Saved one of our entire districts. He´s a hero.
But after that we had a great week. We brought investigators to each of the
sessions of conference and we also got to watch the conference. I loved the
talks. Conference passes so fast on the mission.
During the last session of conference, a rain storm hit the city
and the city went dark. All the electricity went out and everyone wa scared
as heck. We ended up helping everyone get home. At 8:00pm the electricity
returnd so we were able to finish the conference at the Branch President´s
house.
I really liked how the conference was centered on the book of
mormon. It really is the foundation of our testimonies. Also one talk
really teached me about trials. The talk that said lots of succesful people
dont want their kids to pass through what they passed through. However, if
they dont let their kids pass through what they passed through their kids
will never have the same success or self-reliance that they had. Thanks Dad
for always making me work for something that i want.
This week I will be staying in a trio. Three missioniares Me,
Elder O. Rodrigues, and Elder Patricio who was the finance secratary but
now became the next Zone leader and take Elder O. Rodrigues´s place. Which
means he will be my new companion on the next transfer as zone leaders
still in the Cachoeria zone. Should be good.
