Hi son,
Thanks for your emails. That's great that your mission Pres recognizes all
the good you are doing in Camaqua. Yes, YOU ARE REALLY MAKING A DIFFERENCE
THERE. You are fully immersed into the work and you love it and you love
the people of Camaqua. (And they love you.) I'm very happy for you. I hope
the branch gets to become a ward soon.
How's Patricia and her family? Laora? And the other investigators?
So this past week, we got to see Tess in The Jungle Book as her character,
a cheetah. She didn't have any speaking lines, but she sang with other
"animals" and was in several scenes. She was great! The play/musical was
pretty good. It was fun to watch her in it. One of the best parts of being
a mom is watching my kids do something they love or do something really
great.
So, also, I got to see Sage receive her YWs medallion from finishing her
Personal Progress. Bishop Hatch presented it to her in sacrament and had
her read a quote and give a short testimony. It was a great moment for me
to watch.
Glad you are enjoying the missionaries from the USA. What do you mean that
you think Elder Caetano and you are friends? Clashing personalities? Has it
been a struggle? Well at least you have the same goal- teaching others the
gospel. Funny that Elder Allen is buying gaucho items to bring home with
him. He's so tall!
Sorry you missed so much conference. That's good you were helpful in
hooking up the cable to make it possible to watch it live. I hope you get
to listen to the ALL the talks.
The church has made new videos on the Prince of Peace, and principles of
peace. They are so good! We just watched them all.
They're like 2-3 min each. Really good.
I hope you get the Easter package this week that I mailed 10 days ago. It
has candy in it that I hope doesn't melt. It also has the blessing oil and
sewing glue.
I mailed you a card too. But I haven't mailed garments or a smallish bible
yet. I'm sorry.
I hope you have a great Easter Sunday. I'm so thankful for our Savior and
His perfect life and for submitting to His Father's will. One of my
favorite scriptures is in Luke 22:42 when Jesus is praying in Gethsemane, a
"Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my
will but thine be done." He knew the Father's will and did not waver in
what He had to do. I can't imagine how difficult it was for Him, that He
asked for it to be "removed". But He said only if Thy will. What great
devotion, what great love, what great strength! I'm so grateful for my
Savior.
Have a great week.
Love you so much.
