Yo dear Dudes and Dudesses, This week has really just been an overly average week. Xchanges w/ elder Hansen (The new DL) were cool he is a great guy and a great missionary. Other than that the week was kinda flat.
Thoughts. Rules, rules are important. They guide us, keep us safe, and are a good standard to measure against. As a missionary we have a lot of rules. We actually have a little white book full of them. That's not even counting the additional rules that the mission president makes. The rules are to help us be effective and productive messengers of the restored gospel, so in that sense they are great. The thing is sometimes we forget to have a personality along with the rules. We turn into lifeless robots handing out pass along cards. This doesn't only happen to missionaries. I think that in the Gospel sometimes we forget to be ourselves because we are to focused on being perfect, but God doesn't need a million of the same person He needs each of us for our own specific talents and abilities.
