"A Savior is Born"

This week started out wonderful with a baptismal commitment from Kaleb
who is the son of a recent convert. Her name is Brandi Goodman. I may
have spoke of her before. She was baptized a little over a year ago.
When she was baptized both her boys didn't want anything to do with
the church and on Monday, kaleb her younger son committed to baptism.
The story isn't done though. It continues later in the week.

Tuesday was a good day. We had a few lessons and then we were asked to
help the priests with their mutual activity. They wanted to learn to
role play and asked us to teach them. We demonstrated a few and then
had them compete to see who could do it better to make it more fun for
them. It was awesome to see them preparing for their missions already
and to be able to help them.

Wednesday I got to give my first training in District Meeting. It was
the new "A Savior is Born" video. If you haven't seen it go watch it.
It's great. But I was asked to give a training on that video and the
ways we can use it and how we can tie it to the restoration. I loved
it. I also got to go on exchanges with Elder McNeil who is from Show
Low. Two Arizona Elders got to be together and it was great! We had a
good time together. We biked around 20 miles that day. That was pretty
tiring with how hilly it is here but it was fun.

Friday is where the story continues. We have been teaching Kaleb and
Austin, her oldest son since Elder Hunt and I were together. On
Thursday night Austin asked if he could talk to us alone outside. We
went outside and he expressed some concerns and things he has been
struggling with. The spirit was strong and we were able to share some
scripture and thought with him that helped uplift him. So on Friday we
were filling out Kaleb's baptismal record. We finished and very
casually asked Austin if he was ready to be baptized on the same day
as Kaleb and he smiled and said "Yeah. Yeah I am." We were both so
excited. Sister Goodman was beyond happy. Her whole family will be
filled with the blessings of the gospel. They will be baptized on the
19th of this month.

Of course there were more miracles. This work is full of them. We
actually just received a referral from salt lake as i'm typing this.
Like I said before go watch the video to remind us of the miracle of
Christ, our Savior and the true reason we celebrate this holiday
season. I love you all.
