Rex- Week 76

Well, this week was okay. It was kind of long but at the same time looking back it flew by. It’s so crazy to me to think that February is already half way over! 18 months down! Feels dang good!

We found a few new people this week. We found 2 part member families. We taught both of them. The one is a less active named Douglas. So we went to visit him and his wife was there so hopefully we can reactivate him and baptize his wife at the same time. The lesson went pretty good so I hope it works out. The other is a lady named Ama. We went to visit her and she told us her husband and daughter are kind of interested. They actually ended up coming to church on Sunday. So there is a plus! We’re going to start working with both familys. We also got a refferal named Rex this week too. He’s considered a golden investigator. We called him Saturday and he said he was busy. He said he would come to church. I didn't think he really would to be honest. I just thought it was the typical Ghanaian answer "oh dont worry I’ll come" then they don't actually come. Well he showed up and he told us, “sorry for being late.” He was getting his beard shaved off. He said he heard we don't grow beards in the church so he cut it off. I'm not gonna lie, I wanted to cry for him because that thing was so dang nice! He showed us a picture. We explained that that’s not true and he was kind of upset but said his beard grows fast so it will be back soon haha. He also said he loved the way everyone was treating him and making him feel welcome so he said he wants to join us. Just like that we got another baptism on the way! Other than that I can’t really think of much.

Nana made me a pretty cool tie but I forgot to take a picture of it so I’ll send it next week. Hopefully we have another good week this week as well.

Miss you all,
love elder orton
