Week 38 The best Sunday yet in Ghana!

Hey everyone,

Well, as you all know last week I didn't get to send an email and I can’t even remember what I wore yesterday let alone what happened two weeks ago! So I’ll just talk about last week.

We proselyted for 13 hours on Monday. What a blast it was... and we also fasted the whole day in order to make it 13 hours. It was kind of pointless because of coarse it decided to rain for 5 hours straight that day haha! It started raining at 8 when we left the apartment. We were soaked by the time we got to Irene’s place. We stayed there til about 2 when it stopped raining. After that we went out to Kadjanya and Dormeliam; the two farthest villages. I was excited for the 13 hours in a way because that meant that we could go to all the far villages and see a lot of people.

Tuesday me and Williams were on exchange. We went and saw a lot of people. We pounded fufu at Irene’s and then ate light soup with crab and fish. It was so dang good.

Thursday we got up early and went up to Ho for the zone activity. It was okay but I didn’t really like it. They all played basketball and me and a few other people just sat there and watched for a long time. Then when we went to the cafe and the power was out so we couldn't cafe or email home. Also we were going to kill a pig with our zone and Ho zone but the pig guy backed out so that didn't happen either.

Friday we woke up and went to zone conference. It was pretty good. We have a lot of changes that are going to happen. President told us that we aren't allowed to contact anymore. This isn’t an issue to me because I haven't contacted my whole mission. I think it’s pointless. You won’t find very many serious people. If you get to be friends with the members so they give you refferals then the refferals will 9 times out of 10 be baptized.

Saturday we had just a normal day. Now the best part of my whole week!! Sunday we were at church and Akpene was giving a talk and she just all of a sudden got the biggest smile on her face. Then at the end I told Tollestrup to count how many investigators we had in sacrement meeting. When we looked back I was like wait that’s Stevo!! I looked and Akpenes husband Stevo was sitting on the back row!! This is the first time he’s ever been to church. I was so happy! I went over and gave him a hug and told him I was glad to see him. Everybody welcomed him there it was so cool. Then in Sunday school he was trying to answer questions about the lesson it was crazy. When we went to their house after we asked him about it and he said it was so cool how everyone welcomed him and he loved all the talks and all the teaching. He had some questions so we talked. I think we’re going to get to baptize him soon! After talking to him we went to my old area and saw Pat and Dianna for a little. They fed us Kontomre stew and hard plantain and yam. It was so dang good and they were so happy to see me! We went and stayed with Oldroyd in teshie for the night. It was so fun to hangout with him again. We went around and saw some of my old members. Everyone was happy to see me.

I don't think I have anything else.
