Akuse week 2 (week 29)

Hey all,

Well, it’s been a long week but I made it! My companion was sick Wednesday and Thursday so we sat in all day. I was so bored I cleaned the heck out of the apartment. That’s how you know I'm bored. When I'm cleaning without someone forcing me hahaha!!

Tuesday we went out to a village called Dormeliom (door-mell-e-om). Wow!!! It was way cool! Mud huts everywhere and no electricity. The people there don't speak an ounce of English so we had to have a member who lives out there translate for us. He was baptised and couldn't speak English but through the church literacy program they have over here he learned English in about a year. It’s amazing what blessings you can recieve when you accept to be baptized. We are working with a few people out there though. One is named Charity. She only speaks Dungbai and Ewe. We are also teaching 6 small kids all over 8 years old. They are refferals from a member. I think it is her grandkids. We were trying to get the parents with them as well too. They are all scheduled for baptism on the 31 of March now.

We also have a lady who stays in a village called Amedica. I guess they want to be America but don't know how to spell hahha! She will be baptized with them on the 31. Other then that my week was pretty good.

love and miss you all,
Elder Orton
