Hola mi Familia y amigos!
First of all, Happy Thanksgiving to all! Down here, suprise suprise, they dont celebrate Thanksgiving haha but that didnt stop me from making a big meal! (in terms for a missionary with no food). But I hope this week has been awesome for all of you!
First, this week we had to travel to Quito for a lecture with a member of the Quorum of the 70. It was raining really hard in Quito, and I forgot what that felt like. It doesnt really rain here in the coast and it still feels like summer, so it was a reminder for me that its winter. The speach was really good, and now I am way more focused on helping this sacred work move forward.
Fun story, one of the families that we are teaching are super awesome! It ended up that we were at their house late and needed to get back to our apartment pretty quickly. They offered us to drive us in their car, which was super kind of them. Ended up being a truck we had to sit in the bed. Not many other options, we ended having a pretty bumpy ride back in the bed. Nothing like that really happens in the mission, so just thought I would share.
For Preparation day, we ended up going to the light house again, which was still really cool. This was the last P day for Hno. Bustos (Hermana serving in Atacames) so it was pretty sad. Our district is super awesome with just us 4 missionaries.
For a quick spiritual thought, we have been really stressing the Sabbath day Holy lesson with all of our investigators because it is super important that they come to church. While learning more about this commandment, I just want to testify how important this is. I have seen so many blessings come from Keeping the Sabbath day holy in the mission. I am also starting to recognize the blessings I recieved back home when I kept this day sacred. I would encourage everyone to try to find out why we should keep this day holy, and find out how you can achieve that. Love you all!! Hope you have an awesome week!
Sorry for no pictures last week, heres a bunch for this week.
