I just handwashed my clothes for what will hopefully be the last time. I've never been so excited to see a washing machine.
Puej, it's my last week on the mission. As I think back on what has been the most amazing time of my life, I can't help but owe everything to my Savior Jesus Christ. He really is the way and the life. He is the fountain of living water, and the bread of life. He is the rock of my salvation, the author and finisher of my faith, and my best friend. I never want to stop learning about Him and trying to do what He's done. I told this to a lady we were teaching yesterday, " I know what it's like to live without Jesus Christ and His guidance. I never want to go back to that ever again. He knows the way much better than we do, because He is the way." No one could've ever changed me like He has, or change others like I've Him do. I know that through the Atonement of Jesus Christ, all mankind may be saved, through obedience to the laws and ordinances of the Gospel.
I was able to visit my favorite area of my mission las week, trinidad. These members cried when they saw me and were so happy. What could I have ever done to deserve love from people like them?? I couldn't stop thinking about that. It is all because of Jesus Christ and His gospel. It is because the relationships I have with those people are built on experiences sharing the Gospel. It is the only way to true happiness. I saw it as radamel and chuli were baptized 2 weeks ago. They have a new glow to them. They have Jesus Christ in their countenance. I can't even imagine where I would be if I didn't serve a mission. But it's not my mission that has changed me and I haven't changed these people from being on my mission. It is Jesus Christ, His atonement, and His gospel.
Alma 2613 Behold, how many thousands of our brethren has he loosed from the pains of hell; and they are brought to sing redeeming love, and this because of the power of his word which is in us, therefore have we not great reason to rejoice? 14 Yea, we have reason to praise him forever, for he is the Most High God, and has loosed our brethren from the chains of hell. 15 Yea, they were encircled about with everlasting darkness and destruction; but behold, he has brought them into his everlasting light, yea, into everlasting salvation; and they are encircled about with the matchless bounty of his love; yea, and we have been instruments in his hands of doing this great and marvelous work. Therefore, let us glory, yea, we will glory in the Lord; yea, we will rejoice, for our joy is full; yea, we will praise our God forever. Behold, who can glory too much in the Lord? Yea, who can say too much of his great power, and of his mercy, and of his long-suffering towards the children of men? Behold, I say unto you, I cannot say the smallest part which I feel.
I feel like ammon and his brothers. I cannot say the smallest part which I feel. But this I will say. I know that Jesus Christ lives, that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is His true church. I know by the power of the Holy Ghost that the Book of Mormon is true, and I'm so happy to say it. I am coming to know Jesus through it. I bare my testimony of all these things, and lastly, that I know that living the Gospel and making covenants with our Heavenly Father(and keeping them) is the only way to true peace and happiness. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
Thanks for sticking with me guys. I love you a lot. I will be speaking this Sunday at 8:30. Let me know if you want the zoom link💣💣💣
