What a fun week it's been! It's been nice being able to catch up on some sleep after the holidays. The mornings of the 23rd, 24th and 25th of December have been early for us - some pretty neat service projects to do! We were able to organize and deliver up to 20,000 meals to the
homeless! I was so grateful to be involved with service like that, and it truly made the season a lot more special as many good people, along with some missionaries were able to serve those in need. But this week has been just as great!
A lot of our appointments cancelled on us near the weekend, for obvious reasons, so that forced us to contact for hours on end.
Because of that, as usual, Elder Roux and I met some awesome people.
We committed a few more people to baptism this week too! So far we have about 3 committed and 3 more who have been invited and are thinking it over. Of course, baptism isn't about the numbers. It's not about our church having more members than the next. It's about following the example Christ has set. So we're not happy because our numbers are super high or that we are exceeding our goals; we are happy and excited because we are helping these awesome people take that fist step!
New Year's Eve was a blast. We didn't party or anything, but Elder Roux and I went to a Girodano's in Greek Town and had some deep dish.
But I hope New Years in AZ was fun and safe! The work makes the weeks fly by, so these next few years are gonna go quick.
