El Pasooooo Texas

Hey Family and Friends!
We went on another Hike this morning. It was amazing!

Miracle Story! Sorry if its long. I will try my best to make it simple and short. I'm not going to share all of the details because they are personal but I will do my best to help you understand how much our Heavenly Father guides us and cares about us.
Theres this guy named David who left his family in another part of Texas and came to El Paso looking for a place for his family to stay when they move here in about a month for his new job. He had everything all planned out before he started his journey  then everything fell through but the job part. Because plans fell through David didnt know where he was going to stay in El Paso while looking for a house so he went to the temple. While he was in the temple he felt like he should  still go to El Paso anyway and try to live with members and so that's what he is doing now. Things started to line up for him. At church  David asked a couple times to be guided to Gospel Doctrine and every time they(the Bishop and other members) directed him to the Gospel Priciples room which doesnt just happen. David came into Gospel Principles thinking that it was Gospel Doctorine and sat in the only seat open next to one of our Investigators Joe. David and Joe started talking and became friends. An hour later the 1st ward Bishop allowed him to ask if there's any members that would be willing to have him(david) stay at there home for a bit. Joe raised his hand and said he would be willing to lend him a room. Joe's roomate just "happened" to be moving out the next day.David is now living with our Investigator Joe and is helping prepare Joe for his baptism!
Every single day I notice us being guided by the spirit to those that need our help. I know God has a plan for every single one of us. Often times we might not agree with Heavenly Fathers plans but theres a reason for everything. Life is hard for a reason! The Gospel of Jesus Christ will not take away are PROBLEMS that life throws at us, but it will help us cope with our PROBLEMS. The Enabling power of the Atonement of Jesus Christ is amazing!
Mosiah 24 : 13-15
13 And it came to pass that the voice of the Lord came to them in their afflictions, saying: Lift up your heads and be of good comfort, for I know of the covenant which ye have made unto me; and I will covenant with my people and deliver them out of bondage.

14 And I will also ease the burdens which are put upon your shoulders, that even you cannot feel them upon your backs, even while you are in bondage; and this will I do that ye may stand as witnesses for me hereafter, and that ye may know of a surety that I, the Lord God, do visit my people in their afflictions.

15 And now it came to pass that the burdens which were laid upon Alma and his brethren were made light; yea, the Lord did strengthen them that they could bear up their burdens with ease, and they did submit cheerfully and with patience to all the will of the Lord.

Do these verses say anything about Christ taking away our burdens?
What did Christ do to help his people in these verses?
How do you access(get help from) the Enabling Power of the Atonement?
How does this apply to us today?
Let me know what you think about these questiosn.
Love,
Elder Beckstead

I will send pictures later;) Sorry
