Diligence!
This week was an interesting one. It was kind of a call to repentance week. There are several things that I have been neglecting for one reason or another. Nothing big, just like not being as diligent on records or writing in my journal. Well, God has made sure to make me aware of His will concerning these things. Im actually pretty excited, but I need to be a lot more diligent, and that has never been one of my strong suits.
Ill give some sweet highlights because we are actually running out of time. First off we are teaching a super dope dude from Nigeria. He was basically raised to be a catholic priest. Everyone expected him to become one but he said it was never really in his plans. Well when he was 17 he went to live with several Catholic priests and as he did that, he learned more and more about Catholicism and started to have a lot of questions. He has been looking for the truth for years now, but he says that he cant find an answer because everyone reads the same bible but they all believe different things. He said that he chose to distance himself from religion because he was so confused and felt like it just got worse and worse the more he learned about other religions. We taught him about the Restoration and he said that it was really interesting and that he wanted to learn more. I hope that we can help him.
I can kind of sympathize with this man. I tend to over analyze everything, which has never made faith easy. My faith has come from very concerted efforts to know and understand God. Its still not where I hope that it will be and I can confidently say that I am a super impatient person, but I firmly believe that this is the right path and that anyone who seeks diligently, will find the truth. Theres a great quote that I think sums up my thoughts on it. "Just keep swimming, just keep swimming, just keep swimming, swimming, swimming"- dory
