Elder Brad Halverson

This week was crazy. On tuesday we got a phonecall from the APs and they asked me if I would be willing to train, which freaked me out super bad. Im still trying to figure out how to be a missionary and now here I am needing to teach one. You know though, everyone says that they see the biggest miracles during training, and we are no exception! We were doing a 1 minute power lesson role play on how God is our loving Heavenly Father in a convenient store near by, and then randomly a woman comes up to us with tears in her eyes, and gave us some drinks and a note that said "God is with you." We invited her to sit down and and she said that she was also Christian and had overheard us practicing. I explained to her that Elder Halverson had just gotten to Taiwan this week and she said she thought it was amazing what we were doing. She said she had overheard our roleplay, left was up the street, and couldnt shake the feeling that she needed to turn around. She also said she couldnt figure out why she was so emotional about this. We told her its because God really does love her and that he knew we had something that would help her get even closer to Him so he sent his Spirit to tell her to turn around. It was awesome. God really is with us.
We also had a really lame typhoon. It was just sort of windy. Everyone was freaking out about it, and it wasnt that special. Ive seen plenty of bigger wind storms in the states. My first typhoon was a let down.
So my new companion's name is Brad Halverson. He's awesome! Works super hard and totally willing to talk to people! We're gonna have fun! Love you guys!!!
