Well this week I am going to hit 6 months in the mission. Its crazy how fast the time flies. This week though is probably the most memorable week that I have made in the mission so far. I always thought that I wanted to go home from the mission the same kid because I thought I was a pretty good guy but little did I know of all the experiences and things I would see and witness here in Chile. There is a lot of drugs, abuse, and whatever other dangerous things you can imagine that happen here. Walking in the streets you see people carrying handfuls of drug needles, pills, marijuana, whatever thing they want and the police just drive right by. Contacting people we talk to people and they pull out marijuana and start separating it or start rolling a joint right there in front of us and todavilla we talk to them. There was one time a man blew a big puff of marijuana in my face as I was walking by so I turned around and contacting him and he ended up throwing it on the ground because we were talking about our Savior. On Saturday there was things angry little elf and by elf I mean a Chileno that's really short that called us missioneros de Satanas. So like we always do, we start talking to him and he was yelling at us saying that we are gays, homosexuals, have abortions
once a week, and smoke weed everyday because God is all forgiving. That contact didn't work as well as we thought but definitely was one for the books. Among all of this that happens to us we can still see the work is progressing as many people have that desire
to come unto Christ. They see something special in us and contact us instead of us contacting them. We can see as missionaries from a view that the members don't see that the gathering of Israel is real and it is happening right now. The people that are ready for the gospel are starting to show themselves. To end I had one experience where a lady came up and asked us who we are and what church we represent because she said that she had looked all day for a church to attend but couldn't find one. When there was literally 4 churches in the street only one block away or three houses down. When we stand out as something special and the lord puts us there in the right place and time for those people to receive the gospel. The Lords work is amazing and it really, really is special.
