Hi Grandma! I hope everything is going well there in Idaho! I heard my parents got you a dog! That is pretty cool and I'm excited to meet it! Here is really cool, Chile is nothing like I ever expected, Its actually really dangerous here and there's a lot of stuff that goes on here that I am not allowed to tell family or friends. Its really really hot here, one of the hottest places in the world and I'm almost in Peru. The border is only like a 20 minute drive from here in Arica. A lot has changed with me since I got out here. To be honest when I got the news about Grandpa it was really hard on me. I knew that the news was coming soon I just did'nt know when. I was leading the zone and teaching them when I was called out to go to another room and talk to my mission president when he told me the news. I had sat there and cried for about five minutes when my comp asked if I needed anything. I said no, wiped the tears away and got straight back to work. As I had taught lesson 2 those next few days I learned something that changed my life forever. Lesson 2 is the plan of salvation by the way but the spirit testified to me that grandpa was there when I was teaching. Not only grandpa but the ancestors of the people I was teaching. A friend and fellow elder gave me a book
to read that really impacted me hard and I would like that you read it. Its called The Message by Lance Richardson. As times seem that we are alone we aren't. Grandpa is here with us still. Hes there by your side when you may not know it and he is right here next to me become the person I was always meant to be. He's like my angel that is protecting me out here when things get dangerous. When I get tired and feel I cant go anymore he is there walking beside me telling me that these people need me. I miss you to pieces and hope that lucky is a lot of fun! Im excited to visit when I get back!!!! The time will fly by like it already has. I just wanted to let you know that this gospel really is true and that we are receiving help from the other side of the veil when we don't know it. The end is close and we are finishing his work. We as missionaries have noticed a difference as a lot of people come to us now instead of us going to them. We are in the latter days or as it translates in Spanish we are in the LAST days.
