First full week in Arica!

Subject: First full week in Arica!

So this week was a good week. I didn't realize how big my sector really is. Walking from end to end takes an hour walking. We are focusing on just a little part of the sector to work in and looking for people there that we can teach. The mornings are dreadful here. You walk outside the apartment and its like you cant even breathe its so hot. I'm roasting like bacon here. English at times is a little hard to speak because my companion doesn't know English. He only knows a few things here and there and I sometimes have to translate songs really fast because he wants to know what they say. I'm starting to teach him English little by little. The zone this month baptized 27 people with 14 missionaries. The past record of baptisms in this zone was 18 so it was pretty cool to see how much such a little group of missionaries can do in a little part of a city. My comp and I have a ton of really good possibilities. We are opening this sector up because the past missionaries cleared everybody out and never did any paper work so we started from scratch. So far we are doing really good together. The zone leaders keep leaving with me. It happened a ton in Iquique and now here Elder Connelly keeps asking me to leave with him. He is really cool, hes from Arizona. He is dying this cambio but he is still killing it out here. that's all that really happened this week. I will let y'all know more updates as soon as I receive some!
