Subject: Sin un compañero por 5 horas
So I moved up to Arica this morning and didn't have another missionary with me for 5 hours which felt really weird being alone for the first time in almost 6 months. I've been here for like 4 hours but my sector seems really cool. I have the richest people in Arica here and then also I have some tomas for the first time. The translation for tomas is tombs because the houses are made out of scraps that they can find on the ground in the city. The people have pretty much nothing so its really depressing.
My comp is from Peru. His name is Elder Carrasco. I'm really excited for a change. A crazy thing happened though for cambios. The assistants were calling all the missionaries to tell their cambios and they called alto hospicia which is just above Iquique and were saying Elder Richardson is coming up to Posal Monte! It's an oasis so there is a lot of green there and I was thinking it's awesome to go to a new place. Then all of a sudden president called the assistants in and changed the cambio of two people and I was one of those two people and ended up going to Arica so it hit me big that the mission president received revelation to send me here. I'm living with my old comp Elder Voelkel here which is actually really cool and then Elder Jensen from Fremont High School is in my zone so that's really cool too
