Leaving the MTC

This is it. I leave the MTC this Wednesday at three in the morning. I should land in Houston at about one in the afternoon. I am very excited to leave the MTC. It feels like I have been here for an eternity. It has been good, and I have learned a ton, but I think it is time to move on. This week was pretty different from previous weeks. The twelve are here training all the new mission presidents, so 1M, the biggest building on campus and where we eat, is completely locked down for them. We just eat in the gymnasium now. We had Taco Bell and Subway yesterday! You don't understand how big of a deal that is. We have been eating the same thing for five weeks, so anything was looking amazing. I can sort of speak Spanish now, which is impressive. We met with some mission presidents from Paraguay that were going to Uruguay who spoke no English. I understood nearly all of what they said, but their speed and accent threw me off a little bit. We had our in field orientation yesterday, which is pretty much them trying to get us ready for the field. It was interesting, but it was all day long. I can't really think of anything else that would be fun to share. My next update will be from Houston! I miss you all and can't wait to talk to you again!Thank you all!Elder Norton
