So this week was hard like it always is but this time we were able to see some blessings come from our hard work.
The week was filled with a lot of the same things we always do like giving service and things like that. We spent a lot of time tracting and following up on potentials. On Wednesday we were able to help out with the mutual activity which was the amazing race and it was fun to mess around with the youth and we all had a good time. One of the challenges you got really wet and Elders Jenson and Foa'i decided to do it so they got really wet and cold and even though they were cold we were all in an ice-cream mood so we went to a place called Cold Rock. Now if you didn't put it together in your mind its just like Cold Stone (that's why the names are almost exactly the same) and it was pretty dang good but it was pretty expensive. So Thursday was a pretty good day and we saw some awesome blessings. We went to visit a lady named Lisa who is a potential of ours and although she was leaving soon we were able to teach her and her sister Tess. They had no idea who Jesus is and so we were able to talk about him and about prayer and how they can know for themselves if our message is true. I honestly cant describe it to you but when someone does not know much about Christ I get really excited to teach them! Its the coolest experience and testimony builder to testify to someone that Christ suffered for them and that through Jesus Christ we can return back to God. They were both excited to learn more and Tess was really excited to pray. So now Lisa is a new investigator because we had taught her once before and hopefully Tess will become an investigator next week. That night we had dinner with a Samoan family in the ward but most of the family was at the beach when it was time for us to go over so they moved the dinner to the beach. The food was awesome and I feel bad for all of yous who have never tried islander food because you are missing out. One of the girls found a sea urchin and so she broke it open and I tried some of the eggs inside. Everyone was watching me as I did it because I think they expected me to spew or something but no it was good, just a little salty. The next day we had DTM up in Mittagong again and I was also on trade-offs with Elder Foa'i. For my training we did a Preach My Gospel Jeopardy which was pretty fun. After the training we all went finding and Elder Foa'i and I found a really nice lady keen to learn about our message so we were able to teach her about the Restoration. That night we went to go see a former investigator and we were able to teach him the Restoration. His grandma is a member and he used to go with her until he was 13 so he loved hearing the Restoration again. His name is Parker and he is another new investigator that we hope will progress well. To end the week after a long day of working hard yesterday we decided to go follow up on a potential that Beazer and I got months ago but he was never home. When we knocked on the door he answered it and let us in. We were able to teach him and his partner the Restoration and he said he will read and pray about the Book of Mormon. Pray that he reads the Book of Mormon and finds out that it is true because I know that this message can really help him in his life. So yea this week we did much better with this work finding and teaching people and I hope that we continue to find success.
Have a good week everyone and remember to stay strong
